Our farms--right now there are three which together comprise about 350
acres--are fully dedicated to variously placed small ponds from which,
under state license, we collect a variety of amphibians, their eggs,
and larval forms for our research and teaching customers. We’ve been
doing this for about fifteen years, and our animals are commonly used
for a variety of investigations and classroom demonstrations. We ship
amphibians taken from our farms to well over one hundred institutions
each year.
BESIDES WHAT WE TAKE FROM OUR FARMS, WE
PROVIDE MOST OF THE AMPHIBIAN AND REPTILE SPECIES COMMONLY USED IN
RESEARCH.
We ask researchers interested in these frogs, salamanders, turtles,
anoles and other amphibians and reptiles commonly used in
investigations to contact us directly.
WHAT WE ARE NOT
Our interest is in the institutional researcher and the instructor,
constraints on time and effort do not allow us to interact with
hobbyists. For proprietary reasons we do not give advice on collecting
amphibians or on “raising your own.” Except for customers or potential
customers, we cannot give advice on feeding or caring for the type of
animals that we ship.
